Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence that with divine support and the backing of the people, he will secure his re-election into office later this year.
The Governor stated this at a joint Christian and Muslim Religious Prayer Session organised to herald the New Year 2026, at the Governor’s Office, in Osun State Secretariat.
Governor Adeleke expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the state and his administration. He attributed the achievements recorded so far by his administration in the last three years to divine grace and the unwavering support of the people of Osun State.

Governor Adeleke said his journey since assuming office has been sustained by faith and resilience, stressing that his administration has delivered across critical sectors despite prevailing economic challenges.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in Osun State, Christopher Arapasopo, reaffirmed labour’s commitment to supporting the Governor’s re-election, declaring that workers would vote en masse for Adeleke during the August 8, 2026 governorship election
Governor Adeleke assured the people of continued commitment to resolving inherited challenges, including salary and pension obligations, while ensuring that Osun State resources will work for the people.
