The Chairman, Nigerian Labour Congress, Kaduna State Chapter, Ayuba Suleiman has said the organised labour in the State was fully ready for the planned protest before it was suspended by the national body.
Ayuba said the State Chapter will wait for further directives from the national body.
As early as 7am, members of the Kaduna State Chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress had converged on the State Secretariat for the planned protest over electricity tariff and petrol pump price hike in the country.

The protest which was scheduled to take off from the Kaduna Township Stadium to the Lugurd Roundabout was however suspended as soon as words filtered in that the National body had reached an agreement with the Federal Government.
Speaking with AIT, some residents said embarking on strike is not an option.
