Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, have gathered at the congress secretariat to begin its planned protest against insecurity.
However, key labour leaders are yet to arrive as journalists are told they are in a last-minute meeting with Members of the Nigeria Governors Forum.
AIT’s Abulu Osemuaghu, who is monitoring the protest, says another group of protesters under the joint health sector unions, JOHESU, who have been on strike for the past month, are on ground too.
The health workers are demanding full implementation of the Consolidated health salary structure.
