We commend the federal government of Nigeria and the Nigeria National Petroleum Company limited NNPCL on the successful restreaming of the Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company after several years of dormancy.

This commendation is contained in a statement by the National Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.

The statement signed by NUPENG President, Williams Akporeha and General secretary, Olawale Afolabi said the achievement is reassuring that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is poised to revive the country’s Oil and Gas Industry.

NUPENG an affiliate of the Nigeria labour congress, NLC, notes that following the successful restreaming of the Port Harcourt Refinery about a month ago, the revival of the Warri Refinery marks another significant milestone.

It said the start of production in the two refineries herald a new era for the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, aligning perfectly with the vision and advocacy of NUPENG.

NUPENG used the statement to equally commend the dedication of the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL Mele Kyari in driving the revitalization of such critical infrastructure.
