The Abuja division of the Federal High Court has commenced ruling on the bail application of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
The ruling will determine whether Nnamdi Kanu will be released from detention since his arrest in Kenya in June 2021.
The defendant arrived the court room in the same fendy attire he’s been wearing, contrary to the directive of Justice Binta Nyako that he be given a change of clothing.
Kanu is facing 7 counts bordering on treasonable felony, after 8 of the initial 15-counts charge preferred by the Federal Government were struck out.
The counts were struck out for being repetitive and for failure to disclose any offence that could be sustained by the proof of evidence before the court.
As usual, the court and the precinct is on high security alert.
