The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Limited, has received a major boost on the global stage as its Group Chief Executive Officer, Bashir Ojulari, was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Energy Institute in the United Kingdom.
The Fellowship of the Energy Institute is one of the highest professional honours in the global energy sector, reserved for senior leaders whose work has made a lasting and high-impact contribution to the industry.
The honour was presented by the President of the Energy Institute, Andy Brown, during the International Energy Week in London.

Brown praised Ojulari’s leadership, citing his role in reshaping NNPC Limited’s strategic direction, strengthening governance, improving operational discipline, and driving a performance-driven culture aimed at profitability and long-term value creation.

Under Ojulari’s leadership, the company has accelerated investor-focused reforms, improved execution, and expanded strategic global partnerships, steps seen as critical to rebuilding confidence in Nigeria’s energy sector.
