The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has accused the Department of State Service (DSS), of working with Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje to subvert the governorship and state assembly elections scheduled for Saturday.

Party chieftain Abdullahi Bappa Bichi who spoke to newsmen Wednesday evening in Kano alleged that the State Director of the DSS Mohammed Alhassan is spearheading the move to create chaos.

He says the party is surprised that Alhassan, who ought to have retired over a year ago is still in office
According to Bichi, the NNPP has written to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Director General of DSS, all heads of security agencies and Service Chiefs, drawing attention to the matter but nothing has been done
Bichi declared that the NNPP will embark on a peaceful protest against the continued stay in office of the state director of the Department of State Services DSS.

Bichi called on all party members available to be part of the protest billed for Thursday morning
Bichi used the media briefing to notify the police of the planned march and ensure that adequate security is provided.
