The opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kogi State has strongly criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at both the federal and state levels, accusing the government of deliberately impoverishing Nigerians.

They also expressed dismay over the escalating insecurity in Nigeria.

Members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party converged in Lokoja for a state congress to elect new leaders who will steer the party as the nation moves closer to the 2027 polls.

It was also an opportunity to interrogate the people’s standard of living

The rising insecurity was also a talking point at the Kogi meeting. They accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of abandoning its campaign promises and urged Nigerians to unite in order to put an end to what they described as entrenched bad governance.

The party stressed that Nigerians must take their destiny into their own hands and work collectively to restore the nation’s dignity as the 2027 general elections approach.
