Members of the Nigerian Theatre Arts industry have been thrown into mourning following the death of one of their colleagues, Murphy Afolabi.
The death of the Nollywood Yoruba actor and film producer, Murphy Afolabi was confirmed in a telephone chat with AIT.live by the President of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusan; popularly known as Mr. Latin.

Murphy Afolabi was said to have slipped and fallen while in the bathroom at his residence in the morning of Sunday, May 14 before he was taken to the hospital.
He however did not survive the domestic accident; as a result of injuries sustained from the fall.
Murphy Afolabi who hailed from Osogbo in Osun State, South-West Nigeria was born on May 5, 1974. He celebrated his 49th birthday a couple of days ago.
