The remains of Nollywood actor John-Paul Obumnene Odonwodo known by the stage name Junior Pope have been laid to rest at his country home in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe in Nsukka, Igboetiti Local Government Area of Enugu State South East Nigeria.
A funeral service was on Friday May 17th 2024 held at the St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Ukehe where his family friends and members of the creative industry converged to pay their last respect to the deceased actor.

Recall the 43 year old actor alongside four other crew members died in a boat mishap that occurred at the waterside of River Niger Cable Point Asaba Delta State on Wednesday April 10, 2024 while on a movie shoot of “The Other Side Of Life”.
