North East Economy: NEGF Asks Genuine Foreign, Domestic Investors To Invest In The Region

The North east Governors forum has stressed the need for Genuine Foreign and Domestic Investors to come and invest in the sub region.

Chairman of the forum and Governor Of Borno State Professor Babagana Zulum, made the call during the opening session of the tenth North East Governors Forum Meeting Holding in Bauchi State North East Nigeria

The Six North Eastern states Governors have converged in Bauchi for their tenth forum’s meeting to discuss and deliberate on the challenges and the way forward for the development of the region and the country at large.

Declaring the meeting open the chairman of the forum Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Zulum, enumerated some of the areas that needs urgent attention to enable the region bounce back on its path of economic prosperity and revive the devastating effects caused by the activities of insurgency.

Governor Zulum while unveiling the huge mineral and natural resources the region is endowed with, called on prospective investors to invest in the sub region.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed while appreciating the forum’s successes achieved within the period under review, reminded the forum on the need to employ strong mechanisms of improving education, mining and agricultural sectors as a way of fighting terrorism and unemployment in the sub region.

The meeting unveiled the prospetrum of the fifteen joint northeast trade fare currently holding in Bauchi.
