Governors from NIgeria’s North-east have expressed commitment to establish an airline and banking services, to improve the security architecture of the sub-region, and boost economic activity.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the North-east Governors’ Forum, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, during the foundation laying ceremony of the reconstruction and upgrading of the Bauchi State Government House.
Governor Zulum said, the North-east has been seriously degraded by the activities of Boko Haram insurgents, affecting the provision of infrastructure across the geopolitical zone.
He said measures must be taken to significantly improve the quality of lives and properties of the people in the sub-region and also commended the Bauchi State governor for bringing what he described as legacy projects to the people of the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed said the reconstruction and upgrading of the Bauchi State Government House, will go a long way in setting the new outlook of the state, and designed in such a way that it will serve the required purposes.
The over Six billion Naira building project which will include an International Conference Centre is expected to be completed in fifty-two weeks.
