The Forum of Directors Of the State Security Services from the Nigeria’s North East geopolitical zone say they have resolved to foster security stablization geared towards socioeconomic growth and development of the region.
Chairman of the forum Sani Abdullahi Bakori said this during the opening ceremony of the meeting holding in Bauchi.
Declaring the event open Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed represented by his Deputy Auwal Jatau who said though Bauchi is relatively peaceful called on the participants to work together and come out with a lasting solutions to the security challenges affecting the region and beyond
He therefore assured the state government’s continuous support to security agents to enhance the operations.
Bauchi State Director, State Security Service, Nafiu Bello described the event as a platform to discuss effective ways of addressing security challenges in Nigeria’s North East.
Some service chiefs in the state commended the DSS’s approach to Information management and sharing and urged relevant security agencies to embrace up-to-date technology for effective service delivery
