The Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to use the Judicial process, rather than executive fiat, in the release of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The spokesman of the CNG, Abdulazeez Suleiman, said this at a media briefing in Kano.
The statement comes against the backdrop of a visit by Igbo leaders to President Buhari, demanding the release of the IPOB leader.

The group resolved that any attempt by the president to accede to the demand to release without prosecution and punishing Kanu will inadvertently reduce Nigeria to a completely lawless state.
