A group, the North East Youths Development Alliance has said that enough is enough on the killing of innocent people in the region by insurgents. They are calling on the Nigerian government to find a lasting solution to the problem.
They made the plea in Bauchi, following the gruesome murder of over 43 rice farmers in Zabarmari in Borno State over the weekend.
Section 14, subsection 2 (b) of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria, provides that the security and welfare of people shall be the primary purpose of government.

Accordingly, if such indispensable right cannot be guaranteed, the whole essence of that government is deemed to have failed, also in their submission, the entire north is worried over the activities of the insurgents which Nigeria’s current leadership have failed to address.
The group wants the government to find every means to bring to an end, the challenges bedevilling the north.
They also want the government to pursue the recommendations of the Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum to curb the security challenges in the region.
