A northern socio-cultural group under the auspices of Rebuild AREWA Initiative For Development has distanced itself from the Nationwide Mass Protest expected to begin on the first of August, 2024.
President of the group, Balarabe Rufai, told journalists in Abuja on Wednesday that though they are aware that Nigerians are hungry and angry, dialogue and consultation with the government will avert the looming national regret.
Hyper inflation, poverty, rising insecurity and hunger are some of the reasons given by the organisers of the Planned Nationwide Mass protest.
The Rebuild AREWA Initiative For Development said though the listed challenges are the current realities in the country but a mass protest is capable of creating more problems in Nigeria.

The group also gave the Federal government and president Bola Tinubu time to fix the local refineries to reduce the cost of petrol and electricity in Nigeria.
The group called on the youths to shelve the protest and allow for further consultations with relevant authorities.
