The national population commission has launched its online portal for the recruitment of adhoc field workers for the 2023 National Population and Housing Census.
The recruitment exercise which is expected to employ over one point five million Nigerians has a geo fencing technology that will enable applicants to apply from their location of residence.
The Census manager, nura Jalingo, says the E-RECRIUTMENT PORTAL has the capacity to accommodate about twenty five million applications from which qualified applicants will be hired for the adhoc job.

Jalingo also explained the technicalities of the recruitment portal.
The chairman, national population commission, Isah Kwarra, says launching the portal early will give the commission apple time to hire the best hands.
Other speakers commended the commission for adopting a digital census method inline with global best practices
