Former Super Eagles coach Finidi George, has expressed delight joining Rivers united ahead of the 2024/25 domestic season as the technical manager of the side.
Finidi George who stated this shortly after he penned a two year deal with the former Nigerian Profesional Football League Npfl champions, promised to play attractive football in order to attract fans to the stadium.

The ex international who grew up playing football in Port Harcourt wants to return the team to the continent saying that is where Rivers United belongs and applauded the Sports commissioner, Management team and fans for the support since arriving port Harcourt
Meanwhile the Management of Rivers united has fixed the unveiling of Finidi George who will be having his second NPFl experience after Enyimba FC where he won a league title at the Sharks stadium on Thursday July 4th 2024
