Bayelsa United is now in pole Position to gain promotion to the Nigerian elite league, following Saturday’s one nil victory over arch- rivals Warri Wolves Football Club of Delta State in Yenagoa.
The Host team that came into the crunch tie on same points with the visitors failed to convert goal bound opportunities during the first half period of the game.
Joy however came the way of Bayelsa United on the 70th minute when substitute Bina Tombiri stroked the ball into an empty net through a goalmouth scramble.

Bayelsa United who presently tops the group B2 of Nigerian National League with forty points has now shifted their attention to the last two games of the season against Nnewi United and Cynosure Football Club of Ebonyi State.
