The Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL Week 25 matches saw a mix of exciting results during the week as teams continue to battle for top positions and avoid relegation.
Remo Stars defeated Kwara United 2-0 at home on Thursday to, continue their strong form this season. In another match, Katsina United claimed a 2-1 victory over Enyimba, showcasing their resilience.
Earlier, on Wednesday there were several important fixtures. Ikorodu City won 2-1 against Plateau United, while Shooting Stars drew 2-2 with Lobi Stars in an entertaining match. Abia Warriors managed a narrow 1-0 win over Rangers International, while Akwa United played out a 1-1 draw with Rivers United.
Elsewhere, Bayelsa United and Nasarawa United drew 2-2, while Niger Tornadoes secured a 2-1 win over Heartland. Sunshine Stars also shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Kano Pillars. El Kanemi and Bendel Insurance played a goalless draw.
The top of the table remains competitive with Remo Stars leading the pack with 51 points from 25 matches. Shooting Stars follow in second with 41 points, while Rivers United are third with 39 points.
At the other end, Lobi Stars are struggling with just 23 points, while Akwa United, with 24 points, are also in a tough spot. The battle for survival is heating up as the league approaches its final stretch.
With just a few more rounds to go, the fight for the top spots, continental qualifications, and survival continues to make the NPFL season an exciting one.
