The Katsina Chapter of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, says it has given the present administration a 2-week ultimatum, to address the current difficulty students in the state are facing in accessing their West African Examination Council, WAEC and the National Examination Council, NECO results.
In a statement by the State Secretary of the Party, Abubakar Birchi, noted that the observed worries followed the current APC administration’s attitude towards non-payment of WAEC and NECO registration fees as at when due, since its inception.
The NRM says, it also observed with dismay the mishandling of educational activities by the present administration, which is dragging the state down.

According to the party, “It is unfortunate and of great concern that 2 months after the release of the 2022 WAEC and 2 weeks after the release of 2022 NECO, Katsina State public school candidates are yet to access their WAEC and NECO results, even as some students/parents paid their fees themselves”.
The NRM further noted that, as Nigerian tertiary institutions prepare for the 2022/2023 admission process, non-access to their SSCE results puts Katsina State students at a great disadvantage, including other recruitment applications, currently ongoing, for which the candidates cannot use their results to apply.
The party, therefore, gives the state government a 2-week ultimatum to do anything at its disposal, that will enable Katsina State candidates to access their results, or will mobilize all the concerned civil society and concerned students, for a massive peaceful protest, if the government fails to do the needful.
