NSCDC Arrests Four Suspected Streetlight Vandals In Niger State

Niger State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has pledged to continue safeguarding all the critical national assets against vandals, especially the power transmission lines, for Nigerians to keep enjoying power supply.

Commandant of the Corps, Adamu Kambra, who pledged while parading 4 suspects for vandalizing 12 streetlights at the Tafa-Dikko area of Tafa local government area of the state, warned vandals to relocate from the state.

Due to the recent wave of attacks on the transmission lines by vandals in the North West and North East putting millions of Nigerians into darkness, the Commandant of the Niger State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Adamu Kambra says it has enhanced its surveillance to secure the critical national assets in Niger State.

In furtherance to the determination, the command says it has succeeded in arresting 4 suspected streetlight vandals with 12 pieces of the exhibits at Tafa to Dikko area by the anti-vandal team.

They are between the ages of 19 and 40 and are from Katsina and Kano states respectively.

While urging vandals to relocate from the state, Commandant Kambra warned that it is not going to be business as usual.

The NSCDC boss, therefore, restated his command’s dedication to maintaining law and order and urged the public to provide useful information on suspicious activities and support efforts to protect the National Assets.
