The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Enugu State, South East Nigeria, says its operatives have nabbed a 32-year-old man, Nwakpo Chinonso, suspected of involvement in a recent attempted armed robbery near Holy Ghost Cathedral in Enugu City.
The State Commandant, Cyprian Otoibhi, disclosed this while addressing the press following the successful operation
Chinonso, allegedly from neighboring Ebonyi State, was said to have been intercepted by vigilant NSCDC operatives as he attempted to rob a lady of her handset and other valuables.

Commandant Otobhi, hinted that prompt action by the victim, who raised an alarm and sought assistance, led to the swift apprehension of the suspect.
The Enugu State NSCDC Commandant told Newsmen that upon arrest, the suspect was found in possession of incriminating items, including a locally made pistol and an expended cartridge
Commandant Otoibhi is assuring residents and visitors to the State of their safety and security during and after the Easter festivities.while urging citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and accurate intelligence.
