NSCDC Arrests Six Suspected Rail Tracks Vandals In Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Kwara State Command has arrested six suspects for vandalizing the rail tracks also known as slippers along Olooru Community in Moro local government area of Kwara State while two others are still at large.

The newly deployed State Commandant of the Corps, Jimada Umar disclosed this while parading the suspects at the State Headquarters of the Corps in Ilorin the State capital where he noted that the suspects were arrested about 12 midnight while conveying the stolen items loaded in two trailers.

Before now the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, had arrested and paraded suspects for vandalizing the railway tracks passing across the state.

The latest arrest of these six suspects appears to be the highest not minding the number of Nigerian lives being put at risk if they board the train across the affected route.

The NSCDC Commandant in the State, Jimada Umar says he is in Kwara to put an end to the evil attitude and other crimes which are already manifesting through this arrest.

Umar while noting that the suspects would be charged to court added that tough times await criminal elements in the state

Commandant Jimada Umar was deployed to Kwara State about a week ago and the Command is already feeling his energetic impact of change.
