The leadership of Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has commiserated with victims of recent flood disaster in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
Commandant of the Corps, Samuel Dan who led some top officers to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp at Ogomeri in Etsako Central Local Government Area donated some essential materials to the people.
The much predicted flood by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NIMET has no doubt wreaked havoc on some states in Nigeria including 12 communities around the riverbanks in Edo State.

The disaster has rendered the people homeless with some taking refuge at a displaced persons camps in Ogomeri community in Etsako Central local government area of Edo State.
The NSCDC in Edo state as part of its core mandate on disaster management, reached out to these people with relief materials to cushion the effects of the flood disaster.
Community leaders and the affected people were sad about the situation which also destroyed farmlands and sources of livelihood and yet to get necessary interventions from government or its agencies.
