The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State Command has deployed over 700 personnel to the various centres of worship and recreation areas in the state, for the 2022 Eid El-Fitr celebration.
The Commandant, Akushie Sparks, in a statement signed by the Corps’ Public Relations Officer, Ikor Oche, stated that the deployment is designed to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration.
It added that no stone will be left unturned in the efforts to maintain security in the state.
The statement, therefore, warned all hoodlums and miscreants who have the desire to fan embers of mischief, to relocate from the state, as Zamfara is no longer a haven for criminals.
According to the statement, the Rapid Response Squad and the Female Arms Squad have been briefed and deployed accordingly, to commence patrol, before, during and after the holiday periods.
It also said that all motor parks and various bus stops have been adequately manned by the Intelligence Unit of the Corps, to checkmate commuters’ movement.
The Commandant congratulated Muslims on a successful Ramadan and wishes them a happy Eid El-Fitri celebration in advance.
