NSCDC restrategizes against illegal refineries in Delta State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp Delta state Command says with the help of the Tactical team drafted to states by the Commandant General of the NSCDC, the command has put measures in place to take the fight against illegally refined petroleum products inside the creeks where the production takes place.

The Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya who made this disclosure in Asaba when he took journalists round the Commands exhibit yard to showcase the Commands recent arrests made up of 19 suspects, 2 tankers and 7trucks caught for various crimes across the State.

Akinsanya said the practicalities of one of the NSCDC Commandant Generals mission statement of ensuring that NSCDC becomes one of the security agencies to be reckoned with had continued to yield positive steps with the training and posting of Tactical squads to different states.

The NSCDC Delta commandant said his men in conjuction with the team are presently more disposed to tackling their core mandate of round the clock Security and protection of lives and propert and, assisting in maintaining peace and order in the country.

Pleading for more assistance from state government and public spirited individuals in areas of logistics and information gatherings, Akinsanya said with the recent synergy between Delta state government, Chief of Defence staff and THE NSCDC Commandant Deltans should look out for more onslaught on the men of underworld from his officers.
