The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC says, it will deploy more personnel, particularly, Agro Rangers, to Borno State.
Commandant-General of the Corps, Abdullahi Gana, made this known in an interview with newsmen, in Maiduguri.
Gana said, the development is on the heels of a special request by the Borno State Governor, who has commenced the resettlement of farmers to their recovered ancestral homes from the displaced persons camps.
He says there are already 250 Agro Rangers in Borno State providing farmers with cover to till their farmlands from 6am to 6pm.

The Commandant-General who was also in Maiduguri for the foundation-laying ceremony of the NSCDC State Headquarters said he has visited the rangers on the outskirts of Maiduguri, and is satisfied with their commitment to duty.
He says that the corps will train more Rangers with the ongoing recruitment, to attend to the growing demands from Borno State and 19 other states.
Gana, commended the Borno State Government, for its sustained support, to the operations, of the NSCDC.
He urged the officers and men to show more dedication, to retain the confidence reposed in them, by the government, and people of Borno State.
