The total number of victims abducted by terrorists from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools, Papiri in Agwarra local government area of Niger state has risen from 215 to 303 students and 12 teachers.

This follows the discovery that 88 more students were also captured after they tried to escape.

The abducted 303 students are made up of males and females, including 12 teachers, comprising 4 females and 8 males, bringing the total number of abducted persons to 315.

Niger State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Most. Rev. According to him, their attention was drawn when some parents whose children had escaped from the attack also came asking about their children, which made them curious and they conducted a headcount and discovered that they had also been abducted.

In a statement by his media aide, Daniel Atori, the CAN chairman said, the update arrived after they made calls, carried out verification exercise and did further enquiries on those they had thought escaped successfully.
