Nurses in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, NANNM are protesting against the recently issued verification certification guidelines released by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, NMCN.

NMCN Registrar, Faruk Abubakar while addressing the protesting nurses said their demands are noted. The Council had in its revised guidelines released on Tuesday night, stated that applicants seeking verification of certificates from foreign nursing boards and councils must possess two years post-qualification experience from the date of issuance of the permanent practicing licence.
