NYSC still useful to Nigeria – Brigade Commander

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has been described as one of the foundations of Nigeria’s unity and national integration.

Commander, One Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier-General Olatokunbo Bello, stated this while hosting the State Coordinator and management of the Scheme at the Brigade’s Headquarters in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.

Brigadier-General Bello, who said that national integration is important to the Nigerian Army, gave the commitment that the NYSC with its set objectives will continue to enjoy the support of the Army.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Namallan Mohammed, noted that the rationale behind the visit is to strengthen the existing relationship between the NYSC and the Nigerian Army.

He commended the Army’s support in providing training and security for the corps members in Zamfara State.
