Kogi State House Of Assembly has given Dangote Cement PLC up till next Tuesday to present relevant documents leading to the transfer of its Obajana cement company to Dangote cement PLC.
The resolution was reached at the end of the house committee’s investigative panel which is seeking clarification on issues relating to ownership of the company and company’s taxes obligations due to Kogi State.

At the last investigative hearing, Dangote Group was mandated to present some relevant documents relating to the share of Kogi State in Dangote cement, as well as the consideration that changed Obajana cement to Dangote Cement Company.
A written response was delivered to the committee by Dangote cement PLC; this still did not go down well with the lawmakers as they picked holes in issues relating to Dangote coal mining company and the cement companies.
The Kogi State board of internal revenue was also on ground to speak to the issues of tax related infractions by the company
Unsatisfied with the development, speaker of the Assembly Matthew Kolawole advised the company to return next week with the relevant documents.
At this hearing, two mining companies were shut down for refusing to register with relevant ministries in Kogi State, as the state insists in invoking its laws on tax defaulters
