The Lagos State House of Assembly, this Tuesday, unanimously re-elected Mudasiru Obasa as Speaker of the 10th Assembly.
The re-election of Obasa represents the third consecutive term he will lead the State Assembly.

The speaker was first elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 and now in 2023.
A female lawmaker representing Apapa constituency 1, Mojisola Miranda was elected the deputy speaker
Earlier, the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who inaugurated the 10th Assembly commended the 9th Assembly lawmakers for their support to the executive just as he called for more of such collaboration
Out of the total number of 40 members, 38 were elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC and two from Labour Party, LP
The 10th Lagos Assembly has 20 returning and 20 new lawmakers.
