Obaseki in Calàbar: Gov. Ayade says election victory will strengthen South-South

Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has described the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and his Deputy, Phillip Shuaibu as a victory that has further reunited the people of the South-South Region in particular and Nigeria in general.

Ayade Stated this in Calàbar, Thursday when he received the Edo state governor, his Deputy with their wives, and some Political leaders of PDP in his Office.

Ayade said with the election of Obaseki under the platform of the PDP, the party has further been strengthened as a one big family in the South South region.

While congratulating the governor for his overwhelming victory given to him by the people of Edo state, Ayade assured him of the support of the government and people of Cross River State at all times.

Earlier in his remarks, the re-elected governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki while thanking Governor Ayade for his support, said his victory has ended God-fatherism in Edo State.

Obaseki’s visit to Cross River State was part of his thank-you tour to the governors of the South-South region which are all presently under the control of the PDP for their roles during his re-election.
