Supporters of Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate in the 2023 Presidential election, have expressed displeasure over the recent comments made by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka on national television.

The Obidients say Morka’s comment during a television program on January 5, 2025, where he said ” Peter Obi has crossed the line so many times and he has what’s coming to him, and whatever he gets, he should manage it,” is disturbing.

In the statement signed by the national coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, the obedient movement described the statement as a direct threat to Obi’s life and the peace of Nigeria, saying that such a declaration from the spokesperson of the ruling party is “reckless, unbecoming, and a blatant endorsement of violence.”

He noted that Felix Morka’s statement confirms the alleged attacks aimed at silencing Peter Obi, who currently represents the opposition’s voice and the supporters at large.

The obedient movement called on Nigerians and the international community to take note of the action by the APC spokesperson, saying that if any harm befalls Peter Obi, his family, or anyone associated with him, the Nigerian government and its agents will be held directly responsible.

The movement urged the security agencies not to sweep such threats under the carpet and advised the ruling party to call Morka to order.
