Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade says with the level of the ongoing work at the Obudu International Cargo Airport, the estimated time of completion before the expiration of his government’s tenure is feasible.
Ayade stated this during an on the spot assessment of the level of work done at the airport with some consultants, contractors, and site engineers to access the job done inline with specifications.

He said the cumulative cost of the project was beyond the carrying capacity of the state resources ,but for his introduction of intellectual money which has helped the project thus far.
Some of the local citizens who described the project as a blessing said skilled and unskilled job opportunities have been provided for them from the construction of the airport.
Major ongoing works at the airport billed to complete in 2022, include the landscaping and construction of the runway, Control towers and terminal building among others.
