Workers of the Ondo state Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) have staged a peaceful protest against what they term as meager wages of junior staff in the revenue service .

The workers who blocked major roads along their office at Alagbaka, condemned their non inclusion in the new minimum wage package.

The aggrieved workers who accused management of the revenue house of embezzlement also condemned the wide gap of compensation between senior executives and junior staff.

They called on the state government to urgently look into their demands

An assurance has however gone to the protesting workers by the special adviser to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Union matters,Bola Taiwo that their demands will be tabled for government attention.
