The Oba of Ogba Land, His Eminence, Eze Nwachukwu Nnam Obi, the third, has expressed optimism that the Visit by top officials from one of the oldest Universities in Germany, University of Bonn, will help fast track the development of his kingdom.

Eze Nwachukwu Nnam Obi, who stated this when the Dean of faculty of Arts and Humanity, Professor Stephan Conermann and other top management of the University of Port Harcourt paid him a courtesy visit, said the visit will also afford Professor Conermann and his team the opportunity to learn more about the Ogba people.

Professor Stephan Conermann, Dean of faculty of arts and social sciences and his team from the University of Bonn, Germany, who are visiting Africa for the first time, were received by Chiefs of Ogba land before they were ushered into the palace of the Oba of Ogba land, His Eminence, Nwachukwu Nnam Obi, the third.

The Oba Nwachukwu Nnam Obi, says the visit by the German entourage, was coming at a time when Ogba people were desirous of growth especially as a major host to oil and gas resources in the country.

He asked for a stronger relationship with the German authorities to fast track development in his kingdom.

Professor Conermann, described the reception accorded his delegation as overwhelming and did not rule out a collaboration between Ogba people and the University of Bonn in the future.

Professor of criminology, Chioma Onyige and Shedrack Akalokwu, Mboh of Ogbalan, said the visit will afford the Germans the opportunity to learn more about the culture of Ogba people.

There were cultural plays to entertain the visitors and presentation of gifts to them by the Oba.
