The Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC in Cross River State has called on the Nigerian Police to step up its operations in Ogoja and environs, Just as it called on politicians to moderate their ambition and place the security of life and property as priority.
The call became necessary following the alleged invasion of Ogoja, in Northern Cross River State, by some suspected ritualists, popularly known as Yahoo plus boys allegedly killing over ten young girls.
While calling on citizens to be vigilant, the Chairman of IPAC in Cross River State, Osim Ogar said politicians must come clean on the allegations of ritual killings, saying the group will monitor all political parties and their aspirants, promising to hand over any one found culpable to the police.
He said the image of Cross River as a peaceful State must be protected by all.

Some residents of Ogoja who attributed the development to unemployment and poverty, said politicians should be blamed even as the Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo described the information as Fake News.
Ogoja, a popular Town in Northern Cross River State is an agrarian peaceful environment, but the activities of some ritualists popularly known as Yahoo plus boys have been trending the once quiet town in the news over alleged killing of young girls.
but security agencies say nothing of such happened in Ogoja.
