The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP has assured that the Federal Government remains committed to accelerating the implementation of recommendations of the United Nations Environmental Programme UNEP Assessment Report on Ogoniland, as it was one of the key deliverables of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Project Coordinator, HYPREP, Professor Zabbey Nenibarini stated this during the project review meeting with stakeholders from the Ogoni Ethnic Nationality in Port Harcourt.




Professor Zabbey Nenibarini while briefing stakeholders from Ogoni Ethnic Nationality said the project review meeting became imperative to update Ogoni people on the work and progress made so far on the implementation of the Ogoni clean up project.
He noted that since he assumed office few months ago ,HYPREP has made notable progress in various facets of the project implementation process.
Professor Nenibarini urged the people of Ogoni to create an enabling environment for smooth implementation of the Ogoni clean-up project
The Stakeholders urged the federal government to reduce bureaucratic bottleneck to enable HYPREP fastrack the UNEP reports implementation in Ogoniland.
