The hydrocarbon carbon pollution remediation project Hyprep has emphasised the need for traditional rulers to foster sustainable peace and unity to pave way for the smooth operation of the ogoni clean-up project
The hyprep coordinator, Professor Zabbey Nenibarini stated this during the two days training on alternative dispute conflict resolution of the traditional rulers and other key stakeholders in port Harcourt
The mechanism for alternative disputes resolution and peace building techniques for traditional rulers and key stakeholders is aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of the ogoni clean-up project .
The hyprep project coordinator, Professor Zabbey Nenibarini, in his opening remarks, said no sustainable development can take place without peace hence the need to equip the tradition rulers with the necessary tools to create an atmosphere of peace and understanding in Ogoniland.

The traditional rulers, while commending the laudable initiative said they believed the training will enable them have better knowledge and understanding in resolving conflicts in their various domains for the smooth execution of projects
It is expected that the training programme will empower traditional institutions
to resolve series of agitations and rivalries among different youth groups in ogoni land without fear or favour.
