Two days after appointing Olufemi Adekanmbi as Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP, President Bola Tinubu has reinstated sacked Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Coordinator.
A statement by Presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale says the President reached the decision following a performance review of the HYPREP Project Coordinator and concluded that the he is fit to discharge his functions in accordance with the regulation. HYPREP is responsible for the clean up of Ogoni land in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria based on the United Nations Environmental report.

By the directive of the President, the reinstatement of the HYPREP Project Coordinator takes immediate effect.
