Political Parties in Ogun State have expressed their preparedness to participate in Saturday, November 16 Local Government Elections.
The Parties which include the ruling party, APC and Opposition Political Parties, PDP, Labour Party and NNPP among others at separate interviews said they are set to participate in the election but urged the State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC to ensure free and fair exercise
The ruling party APC, says they’ve done everything to ensure that they retain power at the local government level.
The other Political Parties are however asking the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC to be fair to all the political parties in conducting a Free and fair election.
The Chairman, Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC, Babatunde Osibodu in a chat with journalists said he has reassured political parties and all stakeholders that the election will be free and fair.
Osibodu also called on residents of the state to come out and exercise their civic responsibility without any intimidation.
