Opposing Political Parties in Ogun State are demanding utmost transparency from the State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC in the conduct of the forthcoming November 16 Local Government Elections in the state.
Representatives of the opposition parties who expressed their feelings, at the 2024 local government elections meeting with political parties at the OGSIEC headquarters, Abeokuta want the state electoral umpire to assure them that it will not be an election of the ruling party winning all seats
Representatives of all the 17 operating political parties in ogun state were in attendance for the political meeting with the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC.
Most of them expressed skepticism on the ability of OGSIEC in conducting a free and fair Local Government Elections in the state.

The OGSIEC Chairman, Babatunde Osibodu assured the political parties of transparency in the conduct of the local government elections.
Osibodu encouraged the parties to participate fully in the elections and not to be intimidated by the ruling party
The OGSIEC Chairman who said the commission will look into the complaint by the political parties on administrative charges, also stressed that the commission is open for dialogue on better conduct of elections.
