The commissioner of Police in Ogun State Abiodun Alamutu has given hints on effective ways to secure schools in the state under the safe school initiative of the Federal government.
The commissioner gave the safety hints during a meeting with principals of public and private primary and secondary schools with issues on collective ways of securing students as the basis of discussion.
It was a gathering of representatives of primary and secondary schools including security stakeholders to find ways to safeguide school environment in the face of current insecurity in the country.
The commissioner of police who harped on the need for CCTV cameras in schools, touched on 9 key security tips to help schools secure their environment .
To address the challenges of funding for ensuring security for the various schools , Alamutu and some stakeholders at the meeting called on alumni associations to support their Alma maters .
The School Heads were also encouraged to have good working relationship with the police and other sister security agencies in their domain for effective partnership between the schools and security agencies .
