The of Southwest Nigerian State of Ogun, Governor, Dapo Abiodun has emerged as the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
Governors from all the 17 Southern States of the Forum, except the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara attended the regional meeting, held at the Presidential Lodge, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Governor Dapo Abiodun who was the host Governor addressed Journalists after the over five hours meeting, thanked his colleagues for the honor of choosing him to lead the Forum, and pledge to put in his best.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State who doubles as the Chairman of South West Governors’ Forum, led the pack of early arrivals for the meeting.
Other State Governors who were at meeting include; Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Alex Otti (Abia), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Bassey Otu (Cross River), among others.
Also at the meeting were Deputy Governors, Chinyere Ekomaru (Imo), Monday Onyeme (Delta) and Olayide Adelami (Ondo).
The agenda of the Forum’s meeting was not disclosed to Press men.
