Elder statesman Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu has officially become the new President-General of influential Socio-political group Ohaeneze N’digbo.
This followed the endorsement of Iwuayanwu’s nomination by prominent stakeholders in the South East region on Sunday.

Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu will pilot the affairs of the organization for the next four years.
The adoption and inauguration of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu followed hours of closed-door
meeting at the old Government House Lodge, GRA Enugu between the leadership of Ohaeneze stakeholders and the South East Governors.

In his acceptance speech, the new President-General of Ohaeneze says he will ensure unity and harmony among the people of the South- East and Nigeria
On the challenge of insecurity in the region, the new leadership of Ohaeneze promised to ensure that South- East was free from insecurity to attract developments.
At the meeting were Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuayi of Enugu state and Governor-elect Peter Mbah. Ebonyi and Imo state governors sent representatives.
It will be recalled that the former President-General of the organization, Late Professor George Obiozor died in 2022 after he was elected on 9th January 2021.
