Oil Theft : Kogi NSCDC parades suspects in possession of crude oil

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Kogi State Command has paraded three suspects conveying forty thousand litters of liquid substance suspected to be crude oil on the Okene Lokoja high way in Kogi State.

Kogi State Public Relations Officer of the Corps, Agiri Alex while parading the suspects said, the arrest was made possible by the NSCDC commandant General’s tactical team Abuja.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has as its mandate, apart from ensuring peace among the civil population, the protection of the nation’s assets from economic sabotage.

The Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC in Kogi State, said the illegal possession of crude oil and other acts threatening the federal government’s efforts will be resisted, just as three suspects were paraded for illegal possession of crude oil.

Spokesperson of the Kogi NSCDC said the tactical team of the Corps is still beaming its search light on other areas to see that crime and criminality are totally wiped out of the country

The driver whose interview was interpreted in English from Hausa language said he did not know the product was illegally obtained

With renewed security breaches in parts of Kogi State, the Kogi State commandant of the NSCDC has deployed his men to various flash points of crimes in the state; with a call on residents to volunteer intelligence that will enable the corps serve them better.
