The Nigerian Senate has stepped down the consideration of the report of it’s Adhoc committee set up to investigate crude oil theft and the volume of oil consumed across the country

The decision followed opposing views from some members of the committee at plenary who claimed they have never seen the report lined up for deliberation on the order paper

One of the committee member senator Kashim shettima opposing the consideration of the report says since the inception of the committee he has never been called for any meeting and unaware of any report emanating from the committee.

Another member of the committee senator Sani musa says he only attended the committee meeting once and did not sign the recommendations and findings proposed by the adhoc committee.

Senator sekibo while contributing to the Argument says most members were not available during the various meetings of the committee and as such could not get signatures from them
