As the Okada ban enforcement by the Lagos state government begins June 1st, commercial motorcycle riders in the affected local government areas are complying with the directive.
ait.live monitored the situation in some parts of the metropolis, reports that there are no commercial motorcyclists riding on the highway in Ikeja axis, one of the LGA affected by the ban.
There were security operatives in strategic locations in Ikeja axis along the Lagos Abeokuta expressway to ensure full compliance.
Also in Lagos Island, there were no commercial motorcyclists on the highway except dispatch riders who are not affected by the ban.
In Lekki axis, no commercial Okada was seen on the highway excerpt for few dispatch bikes for delivery.
